Health declaration for clinical practice

Visiting students and foreign employees who will be in contact with patients must complete a health declaration.

Before arriving at Lund

Students must submit written evidence of having had the following: 

• At least 2 doses of Hepatitis B vaccination or Hepatitis B antibody serology test
• 2 doses of Measles (MMR) vaccination
• Only necessary for students from a TB-risk country: PPD test <10 mm or a negative Quantiferon test (Quantiferon test recommended for students who previously have had a BCG vaccination). A positive Quantiferon test or a PPD test >10 mm must be followed-up by a chest x-ray. Please note: the PPD or Quantiferon test (and additional chest x-ray, if applicable) must be performed within three months prior to arrival.

• Negative test result from MRSA screening performed within three months prior to arrival to your arrival at Lund.(Students and foreign employees from the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark, included Åland, Faroe Islands and Greenland) are exempted from the MRSA screening.)

Instructions

Your international coordinator will send you a link to the digital Health Declaration where you can upload your documents. Note that the Health Declaration needs to be completed no later than 30 days prior to arrival.

MRSA screening repeated in Lund

Due to local regulations MRSA screening, including bacterial cultures from nasal mucus membrane, throat, perineum and from any piercing or wound/skin changes, must be repeated upon arrival at Lund*. This means that you must arrive approximately one week prior to the clinical placement. This screening is free of charge and administered by the International Office. Note that if you take antibiotics, your test result is not valid.
