The lecture, organised by professor Peter Zygmunt and professor Martin Garwicz, will be facilitated by professor Garwicz who will also lead a panel discussion with the two honorary doctors under the heading “Where to go from here – adaptive strategies in an uncertain world”.

Prominent researchers

Since David Julius' discovery of the temperature and pain receptor TRPV1, he has contributed crucial discoveries to understanding how the sense of temperature and pain works. He has been awarded a large number of prestigious prizes and awards for his research and discoveries, most recently in 2021 when he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
